EU Achieves Unanimity on Global Minimum Tax
Apart from the EU, major economies such as Japan, Korea, Hong Kong, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom would follow suit.

"The change of government gives a very good image. "Never before in history, I checked (checked) from independence in 1957 until now, never in a short period of time has recognition (come) from the Arab world, America, China, Europe, India, and ASEAN.

"InshaAllah I will use this to make sure they come to invest here," he said. Anwar had previously responded to opposition MPs yesterday who claimed that the international media gave negative reports to the establishment of the government following the results of the last General Election (GE).

Foreign Investment and Brunei

Meanwhile, he said, the change in government also increased the confidence of neighboring countries to invest in Malaysia. He commented on the special visit of the Sultan of Brunei, Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah to Malaysia on November 27.

"Tuanku Sultan Brunei did something rarely done before, came but not (only) for friendship. "Your Majesty gave space so that the Brunei Investment Agency (BIA) which currently does not directly invest here, (they) invest more in Europe, America, and Singapore.

"(Your Majesty) gave the certificate to bring BIA, seeing the potential in Malaysia, and inshaAllah it will be done," Anwar said in the Dewan Rakyat.
