Staggering 80% Do Not Pick Menu Rahmah at Restaurants
He said the fact is the 20% represents a good average because there are many people who are chosing the Menu Rahmah.

The Managing Director of Mydin, Datuk Ali Ameer Mydin said only 20% of customers at restaurants are chosing the Menu Rahmah, but that does not mean the project is a failure.
"After two weeks what I saw not only in Mydin but also in other places the same situation happened that out of 100 customers only 20 took the Rahmah Menu.
"What does this mean? Customers are shopping for items other than the Rahmah Menu," he said in an interview with Utusan Malaysia published today.
He said the fact is the 20% represents a good average because there are many people who are chosing the Menu Rahmah.
"What I see is that many people are looking for this menu because it is cheap," he added.

The menu is not only for the low-income groups (B40) but is also for middle-income groups (M40) and why not for those with high incomes who may need it at certain times, Ali Ameer said.
He also tackled the pertinent issue of the lengivity of the Menu Rahmah since many critics are saying it will not last and it is only a farce.
"When we just launched this menu, there was a saying that it was all just for show. But I guarantee for the first three months it will be steady.
"After that, it depends on the uncertain economic situation. If there is no increase in the price of goods, we can keep this Rahmah Menu forever.
"Who knows if the price of goods goes down, we might even be able to lower the price of the Rahmah Menu," he said to the Malay language online news site.
