Silverlake Axis appoints New CEO of Professional Services
Chia Yong Wei will be the company’s CEO of Professional Services to represent the Group and oversee the implementation and delivery of solutions and services offered by the company
Silverlake Axis has named Chia Yong Wei as CEO of Professional Services. He will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of professional services strategies, transforming and modernizing the current services into a successful business while also maintaining a competitive advantage.
Silverlake Axis had a strong financial year in 2021, with a total revenue recorded at RM736.5 million, and forecasts significant revenue growth in 2022 and beyond.
Chia has a wealth of experience in transforming and building sustainable businesses. He is known for fostering growth in dynamic environments and cultivating strong relationships with business partners and clients, resulting in substantial financial growth.
Chia holds a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from the University of London Queen Mary College and has over 23 years of experience in the technology services sector.
Company Expansion
Prior to joining Silverlake Axis, Chia held several key roles at Accenture and was the Head of ICT at AirAsia and the Group CEO at Microlink Solutions Bhd. In his previous positions, he provided executive leadership in securing the appointment of Omesti as an Authorised System Integrator (ASI) of Huawei globally and led the company's expansion into the Middle East region.
As CEO of Professional Services, Chia will work with the Group MD and Deputy CEO to optimize solution delivery, enhance the quality of service to customers, grow the professional services team, and expand their offerings beyond financial solutions to better meet customer needs and business goals. He will also be responsible for expanding the talent pool through custom training.
Silverlake Axis sees Chia's appointment as a key step in building on their successful 2022 and further growth in the years ahead.
