Kuala Lumpur – RHB Banking Group has expanded its strategic partnership with the Securities and Exchange Regulator of Cambodia (SERC) to boost Cambodia’s capital market development.

Through its subsidiary, RHB Investment Bank Berhad (RHBIB), the Group will leverage its expertise in capital market advisory services, retail and institutional equities, and asset management.

Under the approval of H.E. Dr. Aun Pornmoniroth, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Economy and Finance, and Chairman of the Non-Bank Financial Services Authority, a MoU was signed between SERC.

SERC was represented by H.E. Sou Socheat, Delegate of the Royal Government and Director General of the Securities and Exchange Regulator of Cambodia, and RHBIB, represented by Ganesh Sabaratnam, Managing Director and CEO of RHB Investment Bank Berhad.

The MoU signifies a long-term commitment to develop Cambodia's securities business.

As part of the collaboration, RHBIB will provide consultation and advisory services to SERC, including the drafting of rules, regulations, policies, and legal frameworks for the Cambodian capital market. RHBIB will facilitate knowledge transfer through study visits, workshops, and training courses for SERC officials, along with studies on new capital market products.
