Kuala Lumpur, 13 February 2023 — Maybank Investment Banking Group (Maybank IBG) has launched structured warrants in Indonesia, expanding its business to three ASEAN countries - Malaysia, Thailand and Indonesia.

Michael Oh-Lau, CEO of Maybank IBG, says the expansion shows the bank's commitment to customer centricity in a rapidly rising market for retail investors in the region. Azzahir Azhar, Regional Head of Equity & Commodity Derivatives, says the launch is timely as demand for structured warrants is growing fast in the market's nascent stage.

Maybank IBG recently introduced seven new structured warrants over companies in Malaysia and has been active in equity derivatives for over a decade, launching numerous exchange-traded and over-the-counter products.
