Bigo Live launches ‘Hungry Ghost’ special livestreaming event

KUALA LUMPUR, MALAYSIA, 10 August 2022 — Bigo Live is launching ‘Hungry Ghost’, a special paranormal livestreaming event.
Held from 9th to 14th August between 12am and 4am MYT, ‘Hungry Ghost’ will see seven Bigo Live broadcasters embark on paranormal expeditions across Malaysia and livestream their adventures exclusively on the Bigo Live app.
The event is in conjunction with the Hungry Ghost Festival, ‘Hungry Ghost’ will feature some of Malaysia’s prominent paranormal Bigo Live broadcasters including Dauz (Bigo ID: Muhammad_Dauz); Syafiq (Bigo ID: Tah_lah); Uda (Bigo ID: FPB.udaJB); BossBean (Bigo ID: Mr.beanzzz); BossWan (Bigo ID: DeejayWan88); and Loy (Bigo ID: LOY_AHMAD), who will be taking viewers on a journey into the unknown and explore some of Malaysia’s most popular haunts.
As part of Bigo Live’s ongoing efforts to provide users with an immersive and engaging livestreaming experience, lucky viewers will also stand a chance to join the broadcasters in-person during one of their paranormal expeditions.
Bigo Live users simply need to watch the respective livestream sessions and interact with the seven broadcasters to qualify for the next paranormal adventure. Selected users will be informed two days before the adventure date and announced live during the broadcasters’ livestream.

Over the past year, Bigo Live has been actively organising various localised initiatives as part of the platform’s ongoing efforts to engage Malaysian users.
These include the recent concluded Bigo Gagaga (BIGO 嘎嘎尬) — an online game-cum-talkshow variety program featuring some of Malaysian’s most notable radio personalities; the Selara Ramadan BIGO fan meet event featuring popular Malaysian actor-singer, entrepreneur and producer, Shaheizy Sam; and a virtual concert featuring popular Malaysian girl group DOLLA back in 2021, among many others.
