MRANTI, Malaysia's central research and innovation commercialization agency, is set to launch its Global Accelerator Programme (GAP) for 2023, with the aim of supporting 20 promising companies and entrepreneurs in tapping into the RM13 trillion global start-up market. The programme seeks to empower participants by providing mentorship, market access, and investment readiness guidance.

GAP 2023 will focus on three high-potential industries: Medical and Healthcare, Agriculture, and Drone Technology. By targeting these sectors, MRANTI aims to improve healthcare outcomes, enhance agricultural production, and advance drone technology, aligning with Malaysia's goal of becoming a high-tech nation by 2030.

Since its inception in 2017, GAP has made a significant impact, benefiting 212 market-ready start-ups and generating a total of USD 130.45 million in revenue and investment. As MRANTI's flagship programme, GAP has become a trusted platform for mentorship, collaboration, and access to market partners.

Participants in the GAP cohort will have access to MRANTI's network of industry experts and partners, providing valuable guidance on technology development and commercialization. In addition to partnering with organizations in the three thematic tracks, GAP will also incorporate environmental, social, and governance (ESG) elements by collaborating with ESG corporates.
